When our car needs a tune up, we take it to a mechanic.   When we're not driving, our body needs to be our most reliable vehicle.  For our body to function at its best, we need to pump the right fuel into it.  (Proper Nutrition)  Running the engine regularly is very important.  (Cardiorespiratory Training)  Tightening nuts and bolts, stabilizing loose parts, and lubricating rusty joints also needs doing.
